We went over to Everett this weekend to spend time with our family. Deion got to hang out with my cousin's little girl, Isabella, who is about his age, and my did he have fun with her. He would climb all over her, tried to take her toys, and he even tried to take the spotlight when we were trying to get pictures of the both of them. He acted like such a bully and she was just a sweet little lady. They were really funny though, and we laughed so hard just watching the two of them interact. He was so full of energy and laughing the whole time we were there and now I think my brother and his wife want kids more than ever, he tends to make couples baby crazy.

I have been slacking on posting a blog, I can't believe it's already the middle of December and Deion will be 7 months soon! I have just been so busy with the holidays and everything, and Deion has been doing so many new things lately so I should problably catch up on his new skills. Like first of all, he is learning to crawl, well if you want to call it that anyway. It's more like him going forward on his tip toes and lunging forward. He's also become an expert at rolling from front to back and back to front. And he can also sit up on his own when he is lying down. He likes to get his hands on everything in sight! I can tell already that he is going to be a handful-OH MY! Also his two bottom teeth are so big now, he's got some pearly whites for sure. Well that's it in a nutshell.

1st Thanksgiving

We had our very first family Thanksgiving together and it was perfect (because Will did all the cooking)! I came home from work and the table was set with dinner. The boys had been busy cooking all day, and I must say the Turkey was the juciest and best Turkey I had ever ate. Will had smoked the Turkey and he was very proud of his smoke rings and so was I! It was so good that Deion even wanted to eat some. He tried very hard to get to it as you can see from the pictures-maybe next year baby!

6 months old

Deion is 6 months old today and he has accomplished so much in so little time. He has learned to sit up on his own, start eating solid foods, laughs and giggles, has taken a big boy bath, and has even sprung a tooth! He can also roll but he still hasn't rolled from back to belly yet and it seems like crawling or actually, scooting, is going to be his next feat. He likes playing with his toys and when he's on his belly, he will turn around and do a complete 360 on his belly to look at them all, he just can't go forward. He also loves to get anything and everything into his mouth expecially our remote controls! I even bought him his very own, but there is no fooling this little boy because he will still throw a fit to get our remote into his mouth!

We decided to take off the holding mesh from the infant bath tub so that Deion can sit up instead of lie down, because he would always try to sit up anyway. Will did this yesterday and I missed his first "big" bath. Will told me he was splashing around so I just couldn't wait to give him a bath today. Oh my was he splashin'! He was just going crazy with the water and loving it. We were having such a good time that I just let him play in the water for a while and by the time I went to record, half the water was already gone. Will was in the back making faces, that's why he keeps looking up in the video and smiling. He was so tired after his bath that he slept like a baby afterwards-what a great way to wear him out!

Okay so Deion's hair is getting a little out of control. It just keeps getting longer in the top middle part of his head and no where else. I asked Will if I can just clip a little off the top, but he said absolutely not, he doesn't want me touching his hair. I'm going to have to start buying this kid hair product-he's going to have his own gel bottle at only 5 months old! It does get really cute though with all the curls on top. I hope it stays like that.

When I got off work at 5:00 on Halloween, I rushed home to get me and Deion ready. Well I had bought his little Dino Costume (he was going to be Deion the Dino) like a month ago, but when I went to put it on him-it was too tight! I called both FM stores to see if they had a bigger size but they didn't so I thought our Halloween was going to be ruined. But thankfully I searched Craigslist real quick and a lady was selling this Chili Pepper costume for $9 and I was so lucky to get it last minute and our Halloween was saved! He looked so darn cute and we had fun with it all night. He was one hot pepper!

It was Deion's first trip to the pumpkin patch yesterday and he had a blast. I can't wait untill next year when he can walk around with us.

5 months and eating

D is officially 5 months old today. I decided today was a good day to try some rice cereal. He liked it very much. He would even cry for more and opened his mouth real wide when it was coming to his mouth. He's going to be a good eater for sure.

It's another baby landmark! Deion has mastered sitting up by himself. He was wobbly there for a few weeks but now he is steady and we don't have to worry about him falling over. He's going to be 5 months here soon and I also think he is getting ready for solid foods because he drools so much when he sees me and Will eat. He tries to go for our food! He'll probably double in size once he starts eating, ha ha and then he'll really be a rolly polly!

The boys are back from their trip, and I am so very happy now. Will did such a great job of taking care of "D" by himself, especially being on the train for 2 days going there and the 2 days it took to come back. Now Deion, at only 4 months old, has been across more states than I have in my 26 years! He's been on a plane and a train now, and I haven't even been on a train once. That just goes to show that he is going to be a world traveler. I'm happy that Will's side of the family finally got to see the baby. Now we're planning to go alltogether next year, that should be a lot of fun.

So Sad without the fellas

So it's been 3 days since my boys left me and headed to Chicago on the train. Will took Deion on the train to go see his family and take care of some business in Chicago. I think it's a good thing that Deion finally gets to meet his grandma, his aunties, his uncle, and his cousin, but I'm very lonely without them. I just don't know what to do with myself so I've been cleaning and cleaning as much as I can until they come home on Sunday. I told Will to take plenty of pictures, so I will post them when they get back.

4 months old

Yay Deion is 4 months old now! And he is one big little guy. New things he is starting to do is: grabbing and holding on to his feet, trying to sit up on his own, laughing, and making new sounds and for longer periods of time.

Will and I have also got a lot of new things going on too. Will just started school on Monday so he is going full-time on top of working at Fred Meyer and at the apartments part-time and still trying to work on his music and be the best daddy on top of all that; so he is one busy man! I just found out that I will be trasferring to the Richland store, which is exciting news because I can come home on my lunches and be only 1 minute away from Deion. I love it!

Teething, already?

We think Deion's is starting to teeth. I really didn't know they can start teething this early but I guess so. He gnaws on his fingers even after he's been fed and he's been pretty fussy lately, so I know something is going on. He's also been grunting a lot.

Here's Deion very intrigued on what Barack Obama has to say. He's watching history in the making....that's good I want him to see that anything is possible, even a black man as President or even a woman as President for that matter. Things are gonna be very different in his lifetime and hopefully things will be a lot better as Obama as president because it is definetly time for a CHANGE!

3-months old

Deion just passed his 3-month old b-day! He is no longer a newborn. Wow how time flies, next thing you know he'll be a year...then two...then out of the house!!
At this point, his personality is really starting to show. He's a real comedian, he loves to make us laugh with his quirky ways...seriously Will and I have died laughing to the ground with the way he interacts with us. He's a happy little guy, always smiling at you. It's like he smiles because he knows it'll make you smile too so I can tell he's gonna be the kind of person to lift you up when you're down, and he's gonna be positive about things and always looking for the brighter side of things. I can also tell that he's modest, shy, he's gonna be witty (a real wise-ass) and he's also mischivious at times, believe it or not. Like, he'll get this look in his eyes when he pees on you like he was REALLY trying to get you and then when he does he starts laughing as if to say "haha". He is also a big talker, oh man can he talk (coos and squeals)...he wants to make sure he's got your attention and that you are listening to him, it's the cutest thing!

His favorite things so far are the soft teddy bear blanket pictured, the squeaky frog toy, and the hanging bouncy ball that makes a sound when he wacks it. He also loves nursery rhymes, his absolute favorite is The Wheels on the Bus-he just can not hide his excitement at hearing that one-I just love it! Well that's him in a nutshell at 3 months, we'll see what he's like later on.

So we went to get professional pictures done at Sears today to capture the baby's 3-month old look. I think I'll do this every 3 months for a year. I have to say, Deion is so photogenic. He was just working the camera, smiling and turning just the way we wanted him to. I think they are the cutest pics ever!

We're back!! Tulsa, Oklahoma was awesome!! My brother's wedding was so beautiful and Lani was just gorgeous. Deion seemed to have a good time too. He got so much attention, especially on the plane rides. I think some people around us were nervous to see a small baby because they thought he would be crying the whole time, but actually he didn't cry at all.

Today we hung out with my mom and grandma at the mall. We were shopping for trunks for the little man so he can take a dip in the pool when we go to Tulsa in a few days. I figured it would be a good time since it will be so hot over there and he can finally fit into a pair of swim trunks, barely anyway.

10 WEEKS OLD

SMILE CRAZY

Deion is exactly 10 weeks today. He's been smile crazy lately and we just love doing things that will make him smile. It doesn't take much, just talking to him or having him play with some toys with do the trick. He's also been cooing for longer periods, it's like he's trying to talk to us- it's the cutest thing ever. He really responds to his squeaky frog toy that hangs from his car seat. It always catches his attention and we get the biggest smiles from making it squeak.

Today I took some very cute pictures of the baby. I posed him with with the fluffy bear my mom bought him. He seemed to like it. I tried to get him smiling, but by the time my slow camera took the shot, his smiles were gone. I was able to catch one and a semi-smile.

Rollin'

Deion rolled over for the first time today during tummy-time. It was very exciting and funny to watch him do it. He would end up on his back kicking and squirming and we would reset him and put him on his tummy again until he rolled over again. He kept turning over to his right only though. He's like Zoolander, he can't turn left. Just another sign that my little baby is getting bigger.

Too Much Drunk Punch!

So this weekend we had a bridal shower for Lani. It was Deion's first trip to their new house. Also, Deion got to hang out with his cousin Alex. Alex was a little rough with him, but Deion didn't seem to mind. He just smiled, even when his cousin clawed his forhead!

The funniest thing happpened: Grandma accidently put some of the spiked punch into Alex's sippy cup. (We were all wondering why he was just bouncing off the walls!) So we all now know to keep grandma away from the drunk punch.

Our Sweet Baby Boy

So we created this blog to capture moments from our littly guy, Deion. He is already 9 weeks old and MAN is it going by quick. It just seemed like yesterday when he was born. He now weighs 11 pounds 7 ounces and getting bigger everyday.

Deion got his 2 months shots the other day on the 24th. My heart broke to see him crying when they stuck him 3 times on his little legs. But Deion is a true trooper and went right back to sleep only moments later.
